"I moved to Portland a year ago and I am so glad that I discovered Vania. She is the best hair stylist ever. She is talented and a great person. She can look at you and recommend a haircut and you bet it'll look great on you. She takes her clients very seriously and give each of them her personal attention and care. She will call you in a couple of days after the haircut to make sure that you are happy with it. She will make sure her clients are happy and satisfied with their new cut/color. I wanted highlights for the very first time and I trusted Vania with my hair. The highlights look great and I get many compliments! Last summer while my sister was visiting me I took her to Vania for a haircut and my sister was soooo happy with Vania and with her new haircut. Now every time my sister visits me, she makes appointment with Vania for a haircut. I am glad I have found such a passionate hairstylist. I recommend her to all my friends/family. Trust her with your hair, you won't be sorry!"

"My sister recommended Vania to me and I have been very happy with my haircuts. Every time I visit my sister, I make an appointment with Vania. She is a wonderful person and has a great passion for her work. She takes personal interest in her clients and will not rest until her clients are satisfied with their hair. She is extremely talented and I will recommend her to everybody. I wish I was living in Portland so I can visit her more often. I have to wait until I visit Portland to get my haircut!!! Vania knows all the latest hairstyles and she will recommend a cut according to your hair type, shape and age. She is very professional and does not rush you. She only takes few clients everyday so she can give her 100% to each of them. Vania is the best! :)

I just moved to Portland from Fla in Nov. and was seeking a hair stylist who used Schwarzkopf hair color products and found called Prada and left a message. Vania called me the next day to tell me she was in Miami, Fl coming back from a trip but wanted to book an appt. with me right then and there (she was in the airport terminal waiting for her plane to board for Portland) and I complied. Vania called a day before my appt. to re-confirm the time (which I greatly appreciated).

Vania is a consummate hairstylist!!! I appreciated her recommendations for cutting my hair and the products to use to give my thin & fine hair more body. When I go to a professional I appreciate getting their expert advice....Vania is a true professional!!! I HIGHLY recommend her!!!

I knew I wanted a really hot cut and highlights. After asking people with great hair who they saw, and hearing about how much Vania was suggested I asked for a gift certificate to Pravda for my birthday. It was amazing! After a nice phone call with Vania discussing my ideas we made an appointment. I was heading out of town, but wanted to get this done before leaving. She offered to come in at 8:30 am for me, and even arranged for the nail salon next door to open early so that I could get a manicure! The price is about the same here as other places in the area, but you would think you would have to pay a lot more for this treatment - you definitely cannot get accomadated like this at the "other" salon down the road. My hair looks gorgeous. I get compliments all the time. My nails are still pretty. The coffee shop downstairs is delicious (I am so trying the crepes next time!). I could have just moved in! Did I mention the head and neck massage??? There is another stylist there that I am sure is great, too. But I heard great things about Vania and I am glad I saw her because I am sooo happy! As far as parking is concerned. I parked right in front of the place, but I didnt expect to. What do expect for 23rd? Its never more than a couple blocks to walk though, even on weekends. I'm sold. See you next month Vania!

I love this place! My stylist is Vania and she does a fabulous job. She spends a long time talking to me before my cut and color to make sure we have the same ideas in mind, and she has some great recommendations. Relax in their fun retro chairs, sip wine, and eat chocolates while reading Italian magazines. I got a coupon from their site that gives you a free bottle of shampoo AND conditioner with a cut and color - BIG BONUS! This is not a large salon full of apprentice stylists. You have the choice of two very talented, and well traveled, women. Prices are typical for this type of service. Ive been to many salons in my life - including a few others within walking distance of Pravda - Pravda is my fav! Vania will call you a couple of days after the service to see how you like it. Great customer service! I get compliments everywhere I go now, and have referred several people. In fact, a couple people at work call me the "great hair girl"! The appointment does take a rather long time for a cut and color (it was over 5 hours last time!!), but it was very worth it. Im a very busy working mom, so this is my big get-away from the house event! Plan enough time to shop on 21st Ave, and get some delicious food after your appointment to show off your gorgeous hair. There is a coffee shop downstairs, and little nail salon on the same floor. I make a day of it! Thanks! ~Cammy

I have been going to see Vania for little over a year and absolutely LOVE her. I've never had anyone approach my hair the way that she does and am always satisfied with the results. On top of all that, the atmosphere is comfortable, the hospitality is wonderful, and the Vania and Gaby are genuinely nice women and not super-stuffy, too-hip for you types. I'm all about it and would recommend their services to anyone.

Vania has been coloring my hair for the last year, I have been impressed with the product used,Schwarzkopf. It would be hard to match such a great hair color. Vonna is an experienced hairstyles with a trusting eye. I would recommend Pravda for a positive hair experience.

I have been going here for over a year and LOVE it!! Vania is my stylist and does an amazing job. She is a perfectionist and is not satisfied unless you are happy with your style. What is better that having a glass of wine and chocolates, complimentary, while getting your hair done? Getting a mani or peddi while you are waiting. Two steps away is a nail salon as well as a place to have a facial or massage. You must check it out, you will not be disappointed!!!

Thank you so much for the wonderful cut and weave I got at your salon on Dec. 27th. So many women here in Redmond are disappointed that my
cut came from Portland - they hope so much for a good stylist in this town!! It's a great cut - i can spend alot of time or a quick blow dry - always looks good.

This is a wonderful find! After getting the best hair cut of my life in San Fransisco I've been trying to find someone in the Portland area to match it...and at Pravda you can't go wrong. I looked at CitySearch to find salons that were suppose to give great short cuts and went through several before finding Pravda. Both Vania and Gabriela (Gabriela, thumbs up, you got it right, just like SF!) are fantastic. Because 23rd Street has so many great shops and interests, it's a bear to find parking, but worth the walk, just give yourself time so you're not late for your appointment!

I have been coming to Pravda for about a year & have developed a great relationship with Vania. She is an AMAZING stylist and colorist. Although I am moving to Seattle, I will continue to make trips down to Portland because I don't want anyone else to touch my hair! In addition to being a great stylist, Vania is also a great hostess - she always offers snacks & treats, wine, etc. And after she washes your hair she gives an AWESOME neck/shoulder massage (seriously, it's really really good). To top it all off, she's a very sweet & thoughtful person (for example, when she came back from a recent trip to Europe she brought me some perfume from Bulgaria). Overall, I would highly recommend her services if you're considering Pravda salon!

I would like to say couple of words about Vania, one of the stylists at Pravda. I've been her client for several months already and I could not be more happy. She cuts my hair, she colors it and she also does my hair extensions when I feel like having long hair. She pays a lot of attention to her client's wishes but at the same time makes her own suggestions so you know the outcome (no one likes surprises when it comes to their hair). She is an expert in what she is doing. She makes me feel like I have my personal stylist. Thank you very much. My suggestion to everyone: VISIT HER, you will be more than satisfied.

I have been in Portland for two years and I have been trying different hairdressers in NW ( and even in Europe), but I have never had such an amazing experience untill I found Vania at the Pravda salon. Friend of mine told me about Pravda few months ago. I had Vania and I LOVE her. She brings a special European flavour and taste to the salon. She has an energy that makes you feel you are on the best place where you can get your hair done. I am very pleased and happy that I found her and as long she is around, I will follow her from now on!!!!!! I have recomended Vania to my sister and few girlfriend already. My sister also said that "Vania is the one":). I agree with the comment above that she LISTENS what YOU want!!! TRY it, you WILL love it!!!

BEST and most AMAZING service I have ever received from a Portland salon ( and this coming from somerone who's been to Dosha, Legends, Magnum Opus, 77, Ziva,...etc, etc). If you 're looking for a huge salon, mass produced, 15+ stylists, and a coporate way of running thins, this is NOT your salon. However, if you appreciate an extreme attention to detail, personality, and becoming friends with you stylist...this is the best salon Portland has to offer. Pravda has only 3 stylists, but the benefit of this is that no matter who you go to, you will get their top tier stylist; not someone starting out or an apprentice. No, Vania is the only stylist I've had experience with, and so I can only really speak about her. She is incredible. She actuyally LISTENS to what you want. She won't finish up until your hair is perfect. She has an amazing heart and wonderful personality. Two days after you've had your hair done, she checks up on how you like it. You cannot, and I would bet anything on this, make a mistake by seeing her. She really really knows what she's doing. I will never ever (as long as she's here) let someone elese touch my hair. Vania is a salon-junkie's dream come true.
